oh my good god please save us from nta.

  2. Benon 26 Jan 2013 at 6:37 am

why do we take all this shit from the nta, why have we taken so much shit from fools like doyle over the years

  3. geron 26 Jan 2013 at 8:21 am

And how is kelly and his gang going to check on drivers who are here driving taxis under a fake name? And whats he going to do about all the pakistanis who commit a criminal act to get into this country? Paying latvian women to marry them. So its going to be the irish driver who pays the price. Pure racism. Let all the third world drivers in and get rid of paddy. i was out working last night and lads they are taking over the game. This country is and has been wide open to abuse for years. nothing was ever done about it. So they cant send them back. so fook the irish out and let the scammers in. ONLY IN IRELAND.

  4. sclasson 26 Jan 2013 at 12:55 pm

    Muppets.

  5. Vat manon 26 Jan 2013 at 1:32 pm

Come on its not that bad lads all the 10 11 12 reg taxis around the place there must be some money in the industry as taxi drivers are investing in these luxury cars

  6. David Wyeron 26 Jan 2013 at 3:49 pm

Anyone else been forced into more unsustainable personal debt from having to purchase a new car?

  7. geron 26 Jan 2013 at 3:49 pm

I forgot vatman, im making €1400 a week. must run out and buy a13 reg car.

  8. sidewinderon 26 Jan 2013 at 4:52 pm

kelly is smelly has a big belly and watches telly whilst eating jelly has a sister nelly who wears wellies, all hail budda.

  9. Vat manon 26 Jan 2013 at 5:02 pm

Well done Ger, that’s the spirit keep the head up. Is feider linn

  10. Vat manon 26 Jan 2013 at 5:20 pm

Taxi drivers have been commenting about unsustainable personal debt since 2008 and the number of new luxury cars still seem to appear year after year. However I would accept some taxi drivers have found it difficult to make there loan repayments. Work that little bit harder is the best advice I can give. The majority of rental operators still seem to be doing well renting out there taxis

  11. geron 26 Jan 2013 at 6:17 pm

Really try to stir the shit€ this evening vat man. good lad. i need a laugh.

  12. David Wyeron 26 Jan 2013 at 6:18 pm

Anyone else working in excess of the permitted hours per Taxi Regulation Act?

  13. Vat manon 26 Jan 2013 at 6:59 pm

Work split shift as many employee’s do you can work the busy shifts

  14. zedon 26 Jan 2013 at 7:35 pm

    Failure to comply with:
For the purposes of the licensing authority assessing the physical or mental capacity of a person to hold a licence to drive a small public service vehicle, the applicant for or the holder of such a licence shall disclose to the licensing authority any illness or physical incapacity he or she may have that could affect the person’s ability to safely drive a small public service vehicle. The licensing authority may require further information (including medical assessment) from the applicant or holder in this regard.

Is it OK to keep schtum about H.I.V/AIDS ? lolol

  15. Vat manon 26 Jan 2013 at 8:42 pm

Silly comment and very immature Zed

  16. geron 26 Jan 2013 at 10:07 pm

Vat man it was a joke. but how many drivers have hiv, aids and not disclosed it? there could be a lot of blood flying around in a crash? a serious matter dont you think?

  17. David Wyeron 26 Jan 2013 at 10:09 pm

Anyone know how to split shifts when putting in 60 hours per week?

  18. zedon 26 Jan 2013 at 10:32 pm

@Vatman,thanks for your very valid, but vapid comment, anyone on here ,with a brain that is care to answer ?

1 in 7 have criminal records in the taxi industry, drug abusers are among us ,of that there is no doubt.

If urban myths are to be believed, quite a number among us are regularly forgoing the metered rate in exchange for “blowjobs” and “full unprotected sex” on our many beaches.

Add to that ,the prevalence of AIDS in West Africa and current migratory trends northwards,
and you will see we are sitting on a timebomb.

  19. Vat manon 26 Jan 2013 at 10:32 pm

From the conversations I had a few times over the years with taxi drivers a lot of them seem to do split shifts

  20. Vat manon 26 Jan 2013 at 10:39 pm

Zed are you telling me sexual favours from a free taxi ride home. My goodness is this what the taxi industry has come to. They should be a shame of themselves it’s a disgraceful way to carry on. Shame on them

  21. zedon 26 Jan 2013 at 10:48 pm

    Vat iz your name? lolol

  22. Vat manon 26 Jan 2013 at 10:51 pm

No thanks Zed I’m not looking for a free taxi

  23. David Wyeron 26 Jan 2013 at 10:51 pm

This is an excellent place to come for advice

  24. Vat manon 26 Jan 2013 at 10:57 pm

I do my best thanks David

  25. David Wyeron 26 Jan 2013 at 11:26 pm

It would appear to be so

  26. sidewinderon 27 Jan 2013 at 3:16 am

    ruff out there tonight chaps.

  27. bohemian boyon 27 Jan 2013 at 1:26 pm

at the risk of insulting every taxi driver in the country i am going to say this. over on the forum at the moment, there is an ongoing topic being discussed entitled no job from hailo yesterday, or today.this topic so far has recieved 104 responses, and still counting.now here is the part were you might feel insulted.there is a perception among the public that taxi drivers are thick, and stuped.well when you look at the situation its hard to argue with that view. imagine that, 104 responses about a topic cencerning both radio companies, and this yoke called hailo. IN THE NAME OF GOD WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO EMPLOY THESE PEOPLE [RADIO CO,AND APPS] WHEN WILL YOU ALL EVER REALIZE THAT YOU DONT NEED ANY OF THEM

  28. Vat manon 27 Jan 2013 at 1:33 pm

    Afternoon lads

  29. Royon 27 Jan 2013 at 5:19 pm

It’s fairly simple BB, the vast majority of people like to book a taxi and wait in the comfort of their own home for their Taxi

  30. sclasson 27 Jan 2013 at 7:17 pm

    @vat man
What do you consider a luxury car could you please name a few for me .

  31. Vat manon 27 Jan 2013 at 7:36 pm

Toyota avensis 25k + skoda octavia 24k + Skoda superb 28k + It’s a lot of €€€ to be investing if an industry that is not viable as claimed by some

  32. flybyniteon 27 Jan 2013 at 8:56 pm

Lads lads vat man is again provoking yers all and ye don’t seem to realise that he may be a plant trying to collect information. For whom? Maybe for the nta ? For the vat (tax) man ? Or is he just on the pisstake ? Because if he were a genuine taxi driver or even a person with friends or relatives working as taxi drivers, surely he knows that there are still taxi drivers who have lucrative contracts, or even with limo jobs. How that will work once they haver the sticker on the door is anybody’s guess but I would not be surprised if there are already some companies that can deliver magnetic sheets that can be cut to cover an entire door of a “luxury” taxi and made available in a few colours to match the standard (most sold) shade of these cars.
Ger, you repeat nearly verbatim (nice word, I had to look it up) what I have said before. Not every immigrant is a criminal but it is made too easy for those who are. It is nearly impossible to tell the difference, so the legal immigrant drivers are in danger of being victimised unfairly. But otherwise, I totally agree !

  33. Vat manon 27 Jan 2013 at 10:11 pm

Yeah a lot of the new taxis I seen & have travelled in were attatched to radio companies. A lot of taxi drivers should take a leaf out of there book and join a radio company

  34. geron 27 Jan 2013 at 11:19 pm

Hahahahahahaha. vat man. very funny. Great punchline.

  35. Vat manon 28 Jan 2013 at 12:31 am

    Hahahaha

  36. C5on 28 Jan 2013 at 12:35 am

A luxury car is a merc, audi A6, bmw or volvo, not a heap of boring scrap like a toyota avensis.

  37. sidewinderon 28 Jan 2013 at 1:09 am

    bat man,cat man,fat man,hat man,mat man,pat man,rat man,no its vat man,toyota avensis best car on road c-5.

  38. Vat manon 28 Jan 2013 at 1:17 am

Toyota the best built cars in the world. BMW Audi Mercedes all just a name in my opinion but I have seen a few new E Class Mercedes taxis going about the place to. I doubt the taxi industry is struggling as claimed by some taxi drivers

  39. sclasson 28 Jan 2013 at 2:32 am

    @vat man
You just would not know a luxury car from a skip

  40. sidewinderon 28 Jan 2013 at 2:34 am

vat man,its the thoughts in ur head that distance u from who u really want to be,toyota avensisi best built cars in the world?u bet ur ass they are.

  41. sidewinderon 28 Jan 2013 at 2:44 am

  42. flybyniteon 28 Jan 2013 at 3:12 am

Vat man you are still on your private war against taxi drivers. Why don’t you apply for a job with Doyler ? You do the talking, she never said anything. Great pair you’d make and if you get only a small portion of the amount she’s making you’d still make a shitload of money.
So once more, for the record and please say the prayer that I here published for your benefit some weeks ago, the one about keeping yer gob shut until ye know what ye’re talking about: The taxi industry is not struggling, taxi drivers are.
We are trapped in an industry that many joined years ago because if you were willing to work it gave a decent reward. Many of us are free spirits, love the gab and love the freedom if gives – or used to. The way out is not easy, where to go? We cannot get the dole and there are no jobs. A guy I went to school with, one of the cleverest in class. He went on to become an architect. Now he is working in a hostel. Cleaning floors and loo’s, making coffee. I also know of an engineer (“BSc”) who is working as a stage assistant in a theatre. Nurses now have a university education and they are offered 20% less than what used to be the going rate. I’d love to work for 20 grand a year without having to pay for my own expenses (like a car that clocks up the miles like a bishop altar wine)
Yes, a taxi driver can still make a living. His or her car is the office. But unlike an office, it moves about town and the country. It must be safe and reliable and therefore, no matter how well maintained, eventually it needs to be replaced. If the bank (big “if”) is still willing to give a car loan it makes sense to go for a new vehicle because it can be written off over a number of years / miles and should be more reliable than an old jalopy. My car has been meticulously maintained, still reliable but it is starting to show it’s age. Another factor is that the latest cars are more frugal (another word I just looked up) with the diesel. Diesel is becoming an ever increasing cost factor so buying a new car that gets more miles out of the aul’ gallon and should be, for another year or so at least, be free of expensive maintenance, makes economic sense. A taxi is supposed to carry 4-5 people and luggage (a freebie we are forced to give) and a larger (in your book “luxurious”) vehicle will be more suitable to hauling people than a small car. The NTA is going to demand larger cars anyway. A 2-litre engine will not be struggling as much as a 1.3 when carrying loads so it makes economic sense, Fat Man !
Even so, we cannot make ends meet just doing 40 hours a week. I should not admit to it in writing, but: Most full-timers work a minimum 60 hours a week. Many do more. I know of at least two drivers who will do shifts of 18-20 hours. They know a few quiet places where it is reasonably safe to park and if they cannot keep their eyes open they will put the seat back and take a cat nap. I live comparably close to the “action” and go home from time to time take a rest, drop off the few shekels I made and go out again. But not every driver is so lucky.
So if you see nice new taxis, fat man, realise that they have to be paid for. And paid for they are – with blood money !

  43. Benon 28 Jan 2013 at 6:51 am

vat man is an expert on cars now also, or so he thinks

  44. Vat manon 28 Jan 2013 at 11:11 am

I drive an executive Toyota Avensis. Anyway my point was the cost of these new executive cars and number of 10
11 12 & probably 13 reg vehicle you’d never think the taxi industry was struggling

  45. Benon 28 Jan 2013 at 11:47 am

executive toyota load of bullshit, if you want to drive a premium car, go buy a merc. you have a big pension, and probably got a big golden handshake at our expense.
some taxi drivers still take pride in their cars, and in the business. they invest in good cars, unlike some who operate junk. however its getting harder to raise funds to buy a newer car, as all banks know whats going on in the taxi biz.

  46. C5on 28 Jan 2013 at 12:24 pm

The best built cars in the world?? with 20+million recalls in the last 5 years alone, self praise is no praise.it goes to show the power or advertising.

  66. Vat manon 29 Jan 2013 at 12:26 am

Plenty of taxi drivers have taken early retirement from there previous employment with a reasonable pension like me and they are now working in the taxi industry

  67. C5on 29 Jan 2013 at 12:47 am

Sidewinder, toyota bhosca stain overrated le rothai,ni an chud is fearr a togadh ar fud an domhain.

  68. bohemian boyon 29 Jan 2013 at 12:48 am

i just cannot believe the amount of talk going on over on the forum regarding these dispatch companies, and this hailo crowd.why,oh why do drivers continue to give these bastards power over the way our industry is run.they are only middle men, there is no need for them, they are just a group of leeches who imposed themselves on our industry.this industry should only be about drivers, and customers, and NOBODY ELSE.ebbs, kelly, kearns, etc etc are like a bad virus who intimidate, and make drivers fearful. sometimes i feel shame to be assocated with an industry where the workers [drivers] dont have the balls to stand up for themselves . ill ask again WHAT THE FUKK ARE YOU ALL AFRAID OF?this is YOUR industry, it does NOT,belong to ebbs, kelly,or kearns,STAND UP FOR YOURSELVES FOR FUKK SAKE AND GROW A PAIR . they are YOUR employees, not the other way round

  69. bohemian boyon 29 Jan 2013 at 1:04 am

you pay these bastards to provide work for you right ? that, as far as i am concerned is their only function.they are an agency whom YOU have hired for that purpose.will somebody please explain to me in that case, why you allow them to tell you what to wear, how much to charge, disiiplin you for not taking certain jobs, etc, etc, please also explain why,if you know work is going out the back door, you are prepared to put up with it ? how you run your business is none of their business.their job is to find work for you, it stops there it is not to impose conditions on how you do yours.wise up lads get these bastard radio companies out before they do any further damage to you both mentally,or financially

  70. Vat manon 29 Jan 2013 at 1:21 am

I totally agree with you BB if the drivers are paying base fee’s and the work is going out the back door the drivers should leave that base

  71. Royon 29 Jan 2013 at 3:14 am

It’s a contract, when you join you agree to charge the fares they set and wear the uniform they provide etc, if you don’t agree with the terms you don’t join or you leave, people agree terms all the time, on both sides of a transaction.

  72. David Wyeron 29 Jan 2013 at 7:23 am

Vat man – Iv been observing your comments quietly for the most part. Your persona here seems somewhat opinionated and cavalier. I wonder at times are or were you in ‘actual fact’ a taxi driver but then I dismiss the thought because, well; I don’t actually care to know who or what you are past or present, at the end of the day your just somebody with an ‘online’ alter ego. The manner in which you course to make some of your points is ridiculing and derogatory, to put it mildly. I know personally the industry is filled with a wide range of people from the very decent to the very deceptive. I know there are men that equivocate freely, without batting an eyelid. Men that will vaunt excessively about, earnings for example, not unintelligent men in many cases though in all, hugely narrow minded, extremely ignorant and worthy of pity at the very least. Such is life. I think your opinions are generally unsafe to state and largely apply to the industry 20 years ago.

I would like to draw your attention to the fact that there have been over 45 suicides in the taxi industry in under 4 years and that there are men in this industry who have worked tirelessly campaigning to highlight this fact to the extent that – coffins were carried to Government Buildings and a Ministers Home. Men that through benefit nights or by any other means try to raise money so a widow can bury her husband or a Mother her Son. I never have much to say here, i mostly observe, as i do when out working so I don’t think i need to go much further on this, pathetic and pretentious as your comments are you are a ‘seemingly’ intelligent individual.

    @ BB

Your points are valid in many posts. But my opinion on the Hailo operation is that this is not about ‘US’ and ‘THEM’ but about how technology is changing the face of the planet and about how you advance with it, in all its forms, if you don’t, you get left behind. No matter what your views may be, this is a fact.

  73. Benon 29 Jan 2013 at 7:37 am

if i had 3000 a month persion, you would not find me in a taxi

  74. bohemian boyon 29 Jan 2013 at 9:32 am

roy these terms were not agreed, they were imposed.they were imposed on vunerable who dont have the balls to stand up for themselves.this industry is run on fear.drivers, for some strange reason feel they owe these bastards something,i can garantee you if the same drivers who constantly moan about these conditions being imposed on them met any of these towrags ebbs, kelly, kearns, etc etc in the street, they would probably address them as sir, and thank them for giving them a job

  75. Vat manon 29 Jan 2013 at 10:27 am

Ben i would rather be working & doing something the part time work will help me pay management fee’s on my properties

  76. bohemian boyon 29 Jan 2013 at 10:29 am

roy you must have a better way of expressing yourself then i.over on the forum you have proposed that drivers take [none violent] action against informal ranks, who continue to steal from the official ranks.i agree with your sentiments entirely, and wish to be part of it.however i have proposed this many times myself,as you will know, but got absolutely no response to my proposal. hence the reason i say you must have a better way of expressing yourself.no matter, if, and, when you decide to go for it, please include me .we could do the same thing there,as we done on the burlo when we got our protest banners out, and picketed the place . i really believe this would work, and i want very much to be a part of it

  77. Benon 29 Jan 2013 at 11:13 am

you will find taxi work very different from your previous career, especially if you are going to work nights. prepare yourself for grief from drunks and e-heads

  78. Benon 29 Jan 2013 at 11:16 am

Boh a lot of these radio co slaves think they wont make a living working on their own. so they will tolerate all the crap that is thrown at them.

  79. bohemian boyon 29 Jan 2013 at 12:48 pm

thats my point ben,the industry is run on fear . the three amigos have convinced drivers that they are doomed to fail if they give back their radios.they have instilled fear in drivers who dont have the sense, nor the balls to see that they dont need ANY of these cowboys not kearns, not, ebbs, not kelly, etc, etc, surely it stands to reason that if EVERY driver in the country gave back their radio, they would in effect,be taking back the power these bastards have over them, and putting these middle men[who are not needed] out of OUR business..this would do away with discounts.look at it this way the people who use taxis do so for a variety of reasons , they are late for an appointment, its lashing rain, they need to meet someone.etc etc .it has been my experience that discounts are NOT that important to people, rather its the availability of taxis , yet these bastards saw to offer discounts at the DRIVERS EXPENSE.ben i have so much more to say about these bastards, but its a waste of time, drivers seem to be terified to criticise them on this forum

  80. bohemian boyon 29 Jan 2013 at 12:54 pm

why is there so many post awaiting moderation lately ,i have one in that position at the moment and there is nothing that i can see wrong with it . i have to wait for roy to drag his ass out of bed to ok it

  81. Benon 29 Jan 2013 at 1:51 pm

fear is the big thing with drivers who think they wont survive. but most of them never tried, thats what amuses me. go out on their own, pass out your card to people in your area. give good service, and discounts dont matter. always be on time, keep your car clean, regardless of age, and people will ring you. just think what you will save on radio money to some shithead, and all back door jobs etc.

  82. Benon 29 Jan 2013 at 1:53 pm

i hads lots of posts waiting moderation all last week, thats why i was not online. roy says i was being racist and homophobic or some big word like that.

  83. Royon 29 Jan 2013 at 2:53 pm

As I explained to Ben via email I took a week off and came back to a pile of racist/homophobic comments which had to be removed, I’ve eased back again on the “censored words” but please try and refrain from abusive language, thanks

  84. bohemian boyon 29 Jan 2013 at 3:27 pm

roy you did not say if you intend to go ahead with your proposal as per the forum, please include me if you will .if you need my number i will post it here on your instruction

  85. Benon 29 Jan 2013 at 3:28 pm

Hello Uncle Roy how are you today. Sometimes we vent our anger over the way things have gone in the taxi business. We know that certain people are operating illegally, and getting away with it.
We also know that certain people are getting very genourous state handouts, and driving taxis illegally. If this did not make us angry, we would be total fools. I am looking around to see who will have the first new car on the rank this year, and i bet it will not be an Irish driver. I am minding my 07 Skoda like a baby, hoping to get many more years out of it. Simply because i cannot afford to change it.

  86. bohemian boyon 29 Jan 2013 at 3:36 pm

ben i think roys proposal is the right thing to do,we done it at the burlo and got kellys thugs out. i dont use the word thugs lightly, but its because of an experience a friend of mine had in clontarf castle some time ago, when he was told to sling his hook or else by these towrags who were ILLEGALLY plying for hire

  87. Benon 29 Jan 2013 at 3:53 pm

Boh i dont know what that proposal is

  88. Vat manon 29 Jan 2013 at 3:55 pm

    What’s the latest news lads

  89. Benon 29 Jan 2013 at 4:14 pm

newsflash people on large state pensions barred from holding psv licence

  90. chesteron 29 Jan 2013 at 5:08 pm

    Hi all,
Today I went out and got the ‘stickies’ for my doors, so now I have stickies on my meter, I have stickies on my windows, I have stickies on my roof sign, I have a sticky on my dashboard and I have sticky plasters in the boot ! with the cost of all these ‘stickies’ I now have sticky tape around the engine keeping it together.

  91. Vat manon 29 Jan 2013 at 5:08 pm

Hahahahaha come on Ben I would not consider my pension as large, so I think I will be allowed to apply for the PSV

  92. Benon 29 Jan 2013 at 5:17 pm

no kidding vat man kelly announced that today

  93. Vat manon 29 Jan 2013 at 5:22 pm

No the minister can not legally do that. I will be of course liable for higher taxes

  94. bohemian boyon 29 Jan 2013 at 5:33 pm

ben roys propoal is to peacefully protest at the illegal ranks, although that fact that i wish to assist, and he has not replied would suggest he was bluffing

  95. Benon 29 Jan 2013 at 7:01 pm

maybe not Boh, give it time as its a good proposal

  96. bohemian boyon 29 Jan 2013 at 10:34 pm

well ben he has had plenty of time, but has not come back to say if he wants to do it or not i am more then willing to run these towrags out of it, but it seems roy is just all talk

  97. geron 29 Jan 2013 at 11:05 pm

A nice big checkpoint on charlemont st last night. load of taxis pulled in. great to see. like bunnies in a headlight. pardon the pun. hope its the start of a big crack down on the filth that destroyed the taxi business..

  98. Vat manon 30 Jan 2013 at 12:08 am

And more check points no doubt in the coming weeks 31st dead line approaching for taxi drivers & rental operators to register themselves & there drivers

  99. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 6:22 am

Great news about checkpoints hope its a sign that things just might improve for us. hope there was a few cars seized, and guys walking home shouting racism.

  100. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 9:29 am

still no sign of roy, he seems to be gone very quite now that someone is willing to participate in his proposed protest. even though i dont work the burlo, i was there every single day protesting and it was a great success .i dont know what he is afraid of, i will even pay for the printing of the placard advising people where the OFFICIAL RANK is

  101. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 10:05 am

did you scare him off boh

  102. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 1:18 pm

no ben but it thought me not to believe things roy would say in future on this forum . i was, and still am, quite prepared to engage in any peaceful protest outside the dandalion, or anywhere else these towrags steal work from, but i DID NOT expect roys proposal to be just all talk, and no action

  103. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 2:11 pm

    were is vat,the pratt today?

  104. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 2:24 pm

all talk and no action sums up the entire taxi industry at present

  105. geron 30 Jan 2013 at 2:53 pm

Vat boy. another recall on toyota again today over a million cars to be recalled over airbag and wiper proplems. who said they were the best built cars in the world? i think they gave themselves that title. nothing but recalls from them the last few years. barge poll comes to mind.

  106. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 3:58 pm

ben roy is over on the forum at the moment giving it loads about his proposed protest , yet he has a willing participant here and he doesent want to know. he would rather engage with a load of drivers who are all mouth but no action

  107. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 4:05 pm

    leave them at it

  108. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 4:09 pm

toyota totally over rated car, would not touch one of them. have a skoda and its trouble free, no recalls

  109. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 4:29 pm

no ben i wont leave them at it.i want roy to come on here, and explain why he makes a proposal, then wont back it up with action. he just goes to show he is NOT serious about wanting to solve the problems in our industry

  110. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 6:01 pm

he should explain his change of heart on the matter

  111. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 6:45 pm

he is quick enough to block comments he feels are racist, yet he wont come on here and defend his own action, or should i say in-action

  112. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 7:07 pm

he is very good at blocking comments lately, and defending certain people that should be prepared to take a bit of stick. they take everything else thats going in this country.

  113. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 7:07 pm

had to laugh reading a post over on the forum about an electric taxi. it talks a bit about the driver, and describes N R C as his EMPLOYER . can you believe it ? not only do these bastard radio companies themselves,AND their drivers, believe they are employed by these towrags, but now the bleeding papers believe it to.alright i give up,if your happy to allow yourselves to be treated like shite, then so be it. one question i would ask of you radio drivers though,WHY THE FUKK ARE YOU SO AFRAID OF YOUR MASTERS there is one particular regular poster on here who always has an opinion on everything, but any time i have asked him to express his opinion on the scum that owns these gangster radio companies,he clams up out of total fear his EMPLOYER might find out who he is . what a fukking joke

  114. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 7:11 pm

a few mins ago i posted, and again its awaiting moderation. there is absolutely no racist gesture in it

  115. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 7:25 pm

    thats very annoying

  116. sclasson 30 Jan 2013 at 7:30 pm

Its about time you coped on to Roy he will wind you up to keep you posting .he is good at pad tapping
He is quick to slag off ttnh.
And that other clown john m they think they know it all but do full all
Its their way or no way.

  117. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 7:32 pm

any of you that are with radio companies, should hang your heads in shame . i always questioned how ebbs, kelly, kearns, etc etc, could sleep at night for the way they treated you like shite, offering discounts, uniforms[which you had to pay for] punishing you for not taking certain jobs, charging you for hotel jobs, not taking action against back door work, etc, etc, but when i really think about it i now question how YOU can sleep at night for allowing this to happen . i dont care if your offended or not, but you are not fukking men at all your all fukking mice

  118. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 7:37 pm

sclass i admit i was foolish enough to believe this was to be the start of some sort of action against the scumbag illegal rankers, but roy has shown himself to have even less balls then the radio company drivers who continue to allow themselves to be rode

  119. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 7:39 pm

two comments now awaiting moderation in less then 15 mins . not blocked for racist comments, but more likely because the take roy to task

  120. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 8:10 pm

why do these radio co slaves allow anyone to treat them so badly, its really sad. they all need to grow a pair, then get together and burn all radios and other gear. then celebrate their freedom.

  121. Vat manon 30 Jan 2013 at 8:42 pm

Evening lads I have been busy all day apologies for the late entry

  122. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 8:53 pm

    out buying some plonk ?

  123. C5on 30 Jan 2013 at 9:03 pm

ger and ben, Sheepish people buy toyotas as they know nothing about cars, their brainwashed by the adds, europeans were building cars before the japs even heard of the word car, and all they do is copy, its very hard to find a european car in japan because its nearly a closed market they wont allow car makers from other countrys to build cars in japan thats why toyota have been number one since 08 because a chunk of there sales are in their home country.were a bit soft in europe.but vw will be world number one soon.

  124. Vat manon 30 Jan 2013 at 9:18 pm

I did Ben I’m in for the night now. I have caught a bit of the flu so I’ll have a few glasses of wine to help me sleep tonight

  125. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 9:28 pm

hot toddy for flu wine no good

  126. Benon 30 Jan 2013 at 10:10 pm

C5 the ads do the trick, all this best built crap. nothing about most recalls. buyers can be very gullible

  127. bohemian boyon 30 Jan 2013 at 10:10 pm

roy if you dont have the balls to answer the charges i have laid against you, will you at least explain why i have 2 posts awaiting moderation ? is it that you find it hard to face the truth ?

  128. zedon 30 Jan 2013 at 11:30 pm

C5…do Sinclair still make them ?

  129. Royon 31 Jan 2013 at 12:18 am

BB- You’ll find if you refrain from profanity and racism that your posts will appear, if you insist on swearing and name calling the filter might hold your comments for moderation, I’m unsure why some are incapable of civil communication, but there you go…

By the way I don’t see the charges BB laid against me?
BBs comments appear above in all their glory, most civil minded people will spot the word/words that offended the word filter.

I just read back through the comments, (i suppose i should start at the beginning but the ones in the didebar caught my eye, you wish to take part in the proposed “take back the streets” Protests, thanks, I’ll get back to you if it goes ahead, ie gets any further backing.

  130. bohemian boyon 31 Jan 2013 at 12:44 am

roy in the two posts that were held for moderation, show me one word that could be considered racist

  131. Royon 31 Jan 2013 at 1:30 am

I shouldn’t really reply as I am giving those who wish to circumvent the filter help to do so, but the word that caused your comments to be held was sc*m, which all to often is used in conjunction with a country or other name in racist posts, you see I’ve no problem with people posting African or Foreign …..
So as I said, refrain from profanity and abusive posts and you’re comments will not be held for moderation.

  132. bohemian boyon 31 Jan 2013 at 8:57 am

roy are you for real ? you could not find ANY word in either of my two posts that were in ANY way racist, so you decided to pick out the word sc,m to justify why you blocked my posts. my two are now above for anyone to read, and they will clearly see there is not the slightest hint of racisim in either. the word sc,m was used in this case, to describe my hatred for radio companies which is evident for anyone to read, and was NOT used in the context in which you infer.in addition to that this particular word has been used thousands of times both here, and on the forum ,and particularly in the c ontext of describing double jobbers who became as double jobbing sc.m.if you like roy,i can go back through statements on the forum where YOU YOURSELF used such terms to describe double jobbers. the moral of the story is lads, dont use the word sc.m as if roy does not like your post he will block it and use the excuse that this word is racist. another question i would ask you roy if it was racist when i FIRST posted, how come you let it through after moderation ? surely you should not have let it through at all if you felt it was racist ? roy i have come to the conclusion you are no better then the crowd that run boards, and thats really saying somthing

  133. sidewinderon 31 Jan 2013 at 12:44 pm

i’ve seen the taxi buisness turn the best of guys ‘church going family men’ racisist its a real test of tolerance.

  134. Royon 31 Jan 2013 at 2:15 pm

BB. I’ll type this slowly so you understand, there is a word filter, posts with certain words are automatically held for moderation, it’s very easy to test
Type sc*m only in a comment (full word)
Type Fu*k as a comment (full word)
Both comments will be held for moderation
Stop being racist and abusive and comment will appear, continue and they probably won’t
    Simple!

  135. Royon 31 Jan 2013 at 2:20 pm

Please note not JUST racist,,,,abusive comment are often held as well,
They are held automatically, your posts were not deleted they never appeared, I allowed them when I got around to checking them.
The word filter on the forum is different to the one here, the word sc’m was added to the filter here as Ben uses it regularly in conjunction with Foreign, non national, African etc, adding it to the filter served me very well
I moderate here on my own so it takes longer for me to get around to it
The forum filter replaces words with an aternative one here it holds the comment
    not sure why I bother!

  136. bohemian boyon 31 Jan 2013 at 2:35 pm

release the blog two [[me,and ben]

  137. Royon 31 Jan 2013 at 4:11 pm

    Nowt personal

  138. bohemian boyon 31 Jan 2013 at 4:34 pm

i dont know where people get this idea that we have 5 taxi rep groups in this country. i dont rate the fed, because i have not seen any constructive action,or constructive critisim from them in years, the ntdu are gone, humpheries in more representitive of the views of mpos then his members, now that only leaves two ttnh, and nita . although they seem to be worlds apart in their thinking, they would be a force to be reckoned with if they ever get together to represent drivers. hopefully some day they will recognoise this, and get together to represent us properly.

  139. Benon 31 Jan 2013 at 5:03 pm

Roy is now calling us racist, well i heard it all. Roy is your income not reduced because of illegal activity by certain people.

  140. bohemian boyon 31 Jan 2013 at 5:09 pm

ben what ever you do dont use word sc.m. roy now says THATS a racist word. can ya believe the man ?

  141. Benon 31 Jan 2013 at 6:45 pm

    Roy has lost the plot

  142. geron 31 Jan 2013 at 7:18 pm

Vat man must be on his way down to his holiday home in the west with a boot full of wine to study for his psv exam. in his toyota starlet. with ac. sure he could always send ac in to do the exam. would’nt be the first time that happened now would it? Am i allowed say that? Is that racist? Yes i am, its the truth. when you give in to FILTHBAGS who cry racism every chance they get, you may give up. thats their ace card. and they know it. its ok for them to say what they like. insult their host country. but its not ok for us to say what we want. anyway today was the deadline for all the dirtbags who rent cars to register their details. should be ver interesting to see what happens. my guess . SWEET FOOK ALL.

  143. Benon 31 Jan 2013 at 7:42 pm

Ger you are being totally racist now, and Roy will have to block you. yes all those nice people will register their details, did Shatter not say they have enriched this country.

  144. Benon 31 Jan 2013 at 8:04 pm

lets try spelling that word backways and see what happens, mucs it becomes. can we complain about the foreign mucs who steal our work, and our living, while they operate illegally.

  145. Vat manon 31 Jan 2013 at 8:36 pm

Ger that’s right I am at my holiday home.I’m studying hard for my PSV exam & I am very confident I will pass

  146. bohemian boyon 31 Jan 2013 at 8:38 pm

benjman you are walking a tight rope with royston

  147. Benon 31 Jan 2013 at 8:54 pm

oh i love tightropes, the tighter the better

  148. Benon 31 Jan 2013 at 8:59 pm

now vatman you must do this exam yourself. the days of paying a 50 to someone to take it for you are long gone. plenty of cameras in the rooms, all because some people abused the system. ssshhhhh

  149. Vat manon 31 Jan 2013 at 9:17 pm

I wonder how many operating taxi drivers have registered there details on the NTA portal. And how many rental operators have registered there drivers deadline passes in less than 3 hours

  150. geron 31 Jan 2013 at 9:18 pm

Yeah thats how U SHOW ,I GO. got a psv. thousands of them. mucs. nice word if i do say so myself. Well done neb.

  151. Vat manon 31 Jan 2013 at 9:21 pm

Educated gentlemen that study hard before any exam will have no problems

  152. Benon 31 Jan 2013 at 9:27 pm

  157. Vat manon 01 Feb 2013 at 1:38 am

  158. geron 01 Feb 2013 at 5:27 am

    Splended old chap.

  159. Benon 01 Feb 2013 at 7:30 am

that calls for a really special bottle of red,im off to the wine cellar, as one does

  160. geron 01 Feb 2013 at 1:38 pm

Send the butler to fetch the wine old chap, while one gets jiggy with the maid , looking out at an atlantic swell from his holiday home in the west. dreaming of long nights in his taxi and 1400 euro to be made each week. oh to live in vat mans shoes would be bliss.

  161. bohemian boyon 01 Feb 2013 at 2:28 pm

dont forget as a couple pratt man, and a c would be pulling 2800 eoros a week.wonder would they be entitled to the full married couple allowences

  162. Benon 01 Feb 2013 at 2:40 pm

  163. Vat manon 01 Feb 2013 at 10:20 pm

    Hahahhahahahhahahaha evening lads

  164. Murphon 12 Feb 2013 at 1:30 pm

    http://www.limerickpost.ie/index.php/navigation-mainmenu-30/local-news/5614-taxi-driver-pleads-not-guilty-to-sexually-assault.html?

  165. bohemian boyon 12 Feb 2013 at 1:45 pm

this pisses me off about the people who conduct the test for taxi drivers . clearly this fukker could not even speak ENGLISH.the charges were put to him through an INTERPRETER.yet in order to have passed the test,he would have had to have a good command of the english languege . this PROVES beyond a shadow of a doubt that either their licences are being handed to them, or [as been said many times before] they are paying somebody else to take the test for them

  166. Murphon 12 Feb 2013 at 1:50 pm

Great point bb and how will the nta reply to this??? Not to mention the media a limerick taxi driver…he’s Indian not irish

  167. Vat manon 12 Feb 2013 at 1:51 pm

I agree with that one BB

  168. bohemian boyon 12 Feb 2013 at 2:58 pm

its laughable really, here we have a situation where the people responsible for the vetting process, and the issuing of taxi licences the GARDAI ,presided over a test where there can be no doubt fraudulant activity was present, detection of crime is their remit, is it not,? and RIGHT UNDER THEIR VERY NOSES ,and we have a taxi driver who passed the test despite the fact he cannot even speak english, let alone write it. there is a perception among the public that taxi drivers are constant moaners, well i think its with some justification. i know of no other industry where the incumbents are expected to work along side people blatently operating illegally, and if you critcise the authorities for their lack of effort you are a moaner in the eyes of the public

  169. Vat manon 12 Feb 2013 at 3:23 pm

Maybe he just doesn’t understand the legal jingle jangle language as he was probably never been through the courts before. A lot of Irish born taxi drivers may not understand all the legal language that is used in criminal trials

  170. bohemian boyon 12 Feb 2013 at 4:35 pm

no doubt he understands the term scenic route,

  171. Vat manon 12 Feb 2013 at 4:39 pm

Well very few Irish Taxi drivers must not understand it either they have a habit of taking me the longest way to my destination until I remind the driver

  172. bohemian boyon 12 Feb 2013 at 6:35 pm

    good

  173. zedon 12 Feb 2013 at 9:57 pm
