   last nite i rang for a taxi, and i was really locked. i rang 8080800, i got my wires crossed with the lady as i was out of sorts. Anyhow i rang the lady back and totally out of character i started giving her cheek. it was around 1 ish. i really am sorry for being so disrespectful to you, that is not the person i am. i hope you will accept my apology, i would ring to apologise only for i am 2 ashamed.

   Roy my company sells taxi meter roll at extremely competitive prices. I was hoping my be you would all me to but a link on you site. It will benefit all taxi drivers as we sell the rolls at up to ½ price compared to what they are paying now. With the economic down turn everyone is looking to cut cost ,Even taxi drivers.

   Hi all,
   I have been reading the various comments over the last few weeks since the protesting began and i would like to make the following points. (1) the country is in recession and money is tight for people (2) taxis are too expensive!! €4.10 for one passenger versus £2.20 for 5 (london) $2.50 for 4 (new york) €2.40 for 3 (paris) etc. etc. even allowing for the incl time/dist part. (3) the travelling public have plenty of options i.e. aircoach,luas,dart, dub bus and most importantly private car. (4) the public are moving away from pubs at nite thus reducing demand for taxis. (5) the options outlined above are why demand during daytime is falling like a stone. corp users are cutting out all “unneccesary” costs such as taxis. indeed many companies cancelled xmas parties!
   finally the public have no sympathy for taxi drivers..why? because of price, overcharging, dirty cars , whinging drivers and because of the pressure in their own lives!! protests should target the people who can change the situation ie regulator and ministers…but go to their homes,constituency offices etc. blocking the streets will annoy business and the public. neither of which have the power or inclination to support the change we al want. many or all of you may disagree with my comments but that would be reflective of the head in the sand not my fault way of thinking. regards fred

    hay,

    just wanted to know if anyone could help me find a taxi,
    i got a taxi last night from a very helpfull taxi man but to my horror i had no money after spending it all partying.
    however as a means of holding me to the deal of paying him the next day i gave him my watch and age card as insurance that i would pay him. all i have is his reg number and licence number from a receipt he gave me. Does antone know if i can use these details to find him???

    if the driver was alright about you giving him the watch he should get back to you today sometime .remember that the driver was working nights and isnt probably up yet .
    remember a nice big tip aswell .
    it was your fault for spending all your money .
    quote…… i went up to the bar and ordered a round of drinks and to my horror i found id spent all my money
    i gave him my watch and age card to keep the deal .

    do you think you would get away with that one ???

    hi im hoping someone can help me find a camera i left in a taxi, i got into a taxi at wrights at airside at approx 3.30-3.45 on sat nite sun morning on 5-12-09 there was 2 girls one got droped off at ashington (navan rd) and then to blackhorse grove, i would be very greatfull if anyone can help thanks…….

    I got a taxi from finglas last friday,D9 TAXI,Had bought a 22 inch tv in power city,which was in small light cardboard box,left it in taxi,phoned the company no joy..so for other people out there dont use that company…

    John Nolan,
    I reckon most drivers are honest. Don’t blame the base company if you happened to chance upon a driver who was one of the exceptions !
    This has nothing to do with D9 Taxi. If you leave something on the Dart, bus or Luas, in a bar or shop. Be honest, what chances do you have to get it back? The driver may not even have noticed that parcel, it may have been taken by his next fare. Did you try the Carriage Office ? I have been verbally abused by people who left a mobile phone in my taxi. That was AFTER I had gone out of my way to get it back to them. So after such an experience I would not be too active any more trying to get found objects back to their owners. It works both ways, and in both examples (yours and mine) we are generalizing. You have responsibility yourself to make sure you gather your belongings before you leave the taxi .
    And PS: I am forced to print endless rolls of receipts. Roughly 95% of my fares don’t want them. If you had taken it – as you should have – you would now have had a registration of the taxi you were in. It would have been easy for e.g. D9 Taxis to locate the driver for you.
    Do not blame an honest cab company for your own negligence!

    I had a fare to kettles lane from the port on sunday. D-head left hiz mbile ( an i-fone) on da bak ceet.. inallananywayz… (unt rang me on his own fone…demanded i bring it back to him… i waz in clondalkin at the time, so … i left it in carriage office (nice blokes), serve the cnut rite… gaye anyway… want to nav seen the pics on his fone…. urghj!

    jesus Derek thats terrible I live in the poor corporation end of clondalkin and nothing like that would happen in neilstown.Kids in GAA ganzies kicking ball at houses and adults watching them .We would simply knock the bollox out of them and not go all girley and create a website to complain.

    I work for d9 taxis that guy is a lier it never happen
    It’s the type of crap other local drivers are spreading about d9 .because we offer low set fares .these drivers are not prepared to lower prices and are there fore loosing out.
    All they want to do is sit on a rank all day and moan about how quiet it is.so telling people not to use d9 taxis will never work.Anything found in a d9 taxi is handed in to the base and I make every effort to contact the owner or it is handed over to the guards . No such phone call came in about a TV left in a car.
